New Soft Archery & Netball Club after school clubs

At the end of last year we were fortunate to receive grant funding from Believe Housing and long term supporter of our work, Shakespeare Temperance Trust, to introduce two new clubs.  In addition to the brilliant term-time afterschool sessions we already hold, including Youth Club, Infinite Air, Kosmic Kingdowm and SEND boxing, we introduced a brand new soft foam archery and netball club.

These two new sessions respond to the need we identified in our consultations last year for actvities that improve physical wellbeing through sporting actvities.  The new archery club is facilitated by Colleen and coincides with our long-standing Youth Club, so those who come to Youth Club are free to have a go at archery in our other hall.

Our brand new SEND adapted Netball Club is facilitated by Consett Beacons Disability Netball club who specialise in offering inclusive and adapted netball tuition to everyone.  We currently have a small group of children and young people taking part and would like to grow the group.  So if you’ve been thinking you’d like to try something new, or have always wanted to try netball but haven’t had the opportunity, please contact us and come along for a trial session.
